Ohlone Basketball Beats Chabot College 75-65 in Last Regular Season Game
HAYWARD, CA - Ohlone College Men's Basketball traveled to Hayward, CA to face Coast-North Conference rival opponent Chabot College on Friday. The Renegades have now won their last two outtings on the road against the Gladiators in competition between two of the best teams in the East Bay. Ohlone College won 75-65, leading the majority of the game powered by strong performances from the veteran sophomores. Omar Babikir finished with a career high 22 points while Joseph Lemos, Anthony Lacy, and Redshirt Freshman Kiratraj Sanghera added 15 each.
The Renegades have been the top rebounding team in California the last two years and dominated the glass against Chabot again, winning the rebound margin 42 to 29 including 12 offensive rebounds for the Renegades. Head Coach Jordan Lee's teams have always defended well, and showed stellar team defense against a strong Chabot opponent, holding them to 41% from the field. Chabot was forced to take tough shots all night while the Renegades attacked the basket and shot 23 free throws.
