After taking a break for the holidays, the Ohlone College women's basketball team will return to the court on January 8 to open Coast Conference North Division play at Chabot College.

It's been a tough beginning to the 2024-25 season for the Renegades but the squad will look to change its fortune in the new year. Ohlone got off to a 3-10 start and will hope to put an end to a four-game losing streak.

December wasn't kind to the Renegades as three of their four losses came by a margin of four points or less. Prior to Christmas, Ohlone suffered a narrow one-point loss at home to Foothill College on Dec. 18 and went into the break with a 70-50 defeat at Mission College.

Sophomore Mahek Dhillon totaled 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists against Foothill while Tia Stevenson had 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Following the Jan. 8 contest at Chabot, the Renegades will return home on Jan. 15 to host College of San Mateo at 5 p.m.
