Renegades suffer 16-12 loss at Las Positas

LIVERMORE – Alan Nguyen totaled 3 goals and 4 steals to lead the Ohlone College men's water polo team in a 16-12 Coast Conference loss at Las Positas College on Wednesday.
The Renegades held their own and were withing striking distance throughout the contest. Ohlone trailed 4-3 after the first quarter and was down 7-4 at halftime.
But Las Positas outscored Ohlone 7-1 in the third quarter which proved to be the difference.
The Renegades got 2 goals each from Arjan Behrooz, Avery Ramirez, Chris James, and Ryan Edley while Tyler Luu chipped in with a goal. Shaan Vaishnav totaled 12 saves in goal for the Renegades in a valiant effort.
The loss dropped Ohlone to 7-5 overall and 3-2 in the Coast Conference. The Renegades are back in action on Nov. 1 when they will take on Diablo Valley and Modesto in a pair of non-conference games at DVC.
