Ohlone Ends Regular Season with a Splash at ARC
SACRAMENTO - On April 3, Ohlone traveled to American River College in Sacramento to participate in the ARC Sprint Pentathlon for the first time. This meet marks the 1 week countdown and the last meet of the season before Championships.
Highlights from this meet include swims from freshmen Baylis Hin and Quinn Rees, and sophomores Angeline Ho and Brooklyn Sisk.
Baylis Hin - Baylis Hin makes a first place finish in the Men's 100 Breast with a time of 59.85, cutting 0.25 seconds off his previous time at the Ohlone Invitational making a personal best, while also winning a Crumbl Cookie gift card in the process. Baylis also swims the Men's 100 IM with a time of 57.26 taking a place in the top 12, 50 Free with a 22.48, and 100 Fly with a 1:01. Also participating in the Men's 200 Medley Relay, Baylis swam Breast with a 26.46 relay split.
Angeline Ho - Returning for her second season at Ohlone, Angeline swam 2 relays and 4 individual events at this meet. Placing in the top 39, Angeline swims a 1:16.45 in the Women's 100 Back. She also swam 50 Free with a time of 30.34, 100 Fly with a time of 1:25.24, and 100 IM with a time of 1:20.69. Also participating in 2 relays, she did fly with a 35.27 in the Women's 200 Medley Relay, and swam the second leg of the Women's 200 Free Relay (29.63).
Quinn Rees - Starting off the meet placing top 7 in the Men's 50 Free with a 22.09, Quinn was set to participate in the Men's 50 Free shootout in order to rank the top 8. During the shootout, he went against Justin Hsieh from American River College, placing in the top 4, with a new personal best time of 21.57. Quinn also participated in the men's 100 Breast swimming a 1:00.37, 100 Fly with a 53.29, and 100 IM with a time of 54.69. In addition to his individual events, Quinn anchored the Men's 200 Free Relay with a 20.92 Free split.
Brooklyn Sisk - Brooklyn swam 1 relay and 4 individual events at this meet. In the Women's 100 Breast, she placed in the top 55 with a time of 1:37.28. She also swam 50 Free with a time of 32.63, 100 Back with a 1:21.08, and a 100 IM with a 1:23.24. Also participating in a relay, Brooklyn swam the Backstroke leadoff for the Women's 200 Medley Relay with a split of 37.54.
