A hard fought draw

A hard fought draw

Ohlone hosted Napa Valley on Tuesday afternoon and played them to a stalemate.

Entering the game on a six-game winning streak, the Renegades started the game strong with an early shot on goal in the first minute of play.  Not much changed from then on out.  Ohlone controlled the game from beginning to end, but they couldn't find the breakthrough.  Sophomore Hugo Gallegos and Freshman Angel Vasquez had multiple shots on goal and several that well-timed Napa defenders found a way to get in front of.  Ohlone pushed until the very end, getting two shots on goal in the final minute, both saved by the Napa goalie.

While they walk away from the game for the first time this season without a victory, they remain unbeaten at 6-0-1 and travel to San Pablo on Friday evening to play Contra Costa College.
