The initial third of the Fall campaign saw the Renegades start off with an eye-opening defeat to Visiting Butte College. The Renegades experienced first-hand what a well rounded College at this level can put together. Butte boasted a fast pace offense coupled with an aggressive defensive scheme which placed the Renegades in an uncomfortable situation from the start. The response form the squad to this defeat was impressive, bouncing back with a 0-0 tie against visiting Merritt College, who have, since then, achieved some positive results showing that the tie was a strong results for Ohlone.

The Renegades took to the road in the following match, defeating a much improved Gavilan college in Gilroy followed by a home win vs a quality American River College. This has proved to be the Ohlone's most important result, a set piece game winning goal in the 92nd minute meant a thrilling result for the Renegades and heartbreak for American River who played well enough to win but were edged out by the resilience of the Renegades.

Ohlone was brought back to reality by a defeat at home vs Mendocino College, an industrious side that did everything right for 90 minutes. The Renegades bounced back with a convincing result at Monterrrey Peninsula College last Friday to close the out of conference play with a 3-2-1 record.

The Renegades look to open up Conference play with a 3 game road trip at Cabrillo on Tuesday 9/25, @ San Francisco on Friday 9/28 and @ Skyline in San Bruno on Tuesday 10/2, followed by the return home to host DeAnza on 10/5. The tone for the start of conference play will be set by the quality of play on the road and the Renegades are looking forward to putting forth excellent efforts in the first 4 games of the conference.
